Objective: To ensure that every elderly person and their direct dependents can access sustainable, high-quality, and meaningful healthcare in Uganda.

Activities: 1.1. Advocacy and Awareness:
▬ Conduct campaigns and advocacy programs to raise awareness about the healthcare needs of seniors.
▬ Collaborate with local communities, government agencies, and healthcare providers to advocate for better and more affordable medical services for seniors.
▬ Organize health education sessions to empower seniors and their caregivers to make informed health decisions.

1.2. Accessible Healthcare:
▬ Establish partnerships with medical facilities, clinics, and healthcare providers to ensure seniors have access to quality and affordable healthcare services.
▬ Facilitate medical check-ups, screenings, and preventive care initiatives for seniors.
▬ Provide support for vision and dental issues, including arranging regular check-ups and treatments.

1.3. Homecare Services:
▬ Offer assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) for seniors who prefer to stay at home.
▬ Provide trained caregivers to assist with housework, shopping, meal preparation, and companionship.
▬ Ensure regular medical follow-ups and provide the necessary support for medication management.

1.4. Dementia Support:
▬ Employ specialized professionals to provide care and support for individuals and families affected by dementia.
▬ Conduct training programs and workshops for caregivers to enhance their understanding and caregiving skills.
▬ Establish support groups and counseling services to address the emotional and psychological needs of dementia patients and their families.

1.5. End-of-Life Support:
▬ Offer compassionate end-of-life care for terminally ill patients, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
▬ Provide bereavement support for families who have lost their elderly loved ones.
▬ Collaborate with local organizations and hospices to facilitate access to appropriate end-of-life services. 

2Economic Empowerment Arm

Objective: To empower seniors and their dependents economically, enabling them to live meaningful and dignified lives.

2.1. Skills Development:
▬ Identify and assess the skills and talents of seniors and provide training programs to enhance their existing abilities or develop new skills.
▬ Offer vocational training opportunities in collaboration with local institutions to improve employment prospects for seniors.
▬ Provide mentorship and guidance for starting small businesses or income-generating activities.

2.2. Microfinance and Savings:
▬ Establish partnerships with medical facilities, clinics, and healthcare providers to ensure seniors have access to quality and affordable healthcare services.
▬ Facilitate financial literacy programs to educate seniors about money management, savings, and investment opportunities.
▬ Encourage the establishment of savings groups or community-based savings schemes to promote economic independence.

2.3. Market Access:
▬ Assist seniors in accessing markets for their products or services by creating linkages with potential buyers or distributors.
▬ Organize exhibitions, trade fairs, or marketplaces where seniors can showcase and sell their products.
▬ Collaborate with government agencies and private organizations to create favorable market conditions for senior entrepreneurs.

2.4. Social Enterprise Development:
▬ Explore opportunities to establish social enterprises that involve seniors as active participants, such as handicrafts production, agriculture, or tourism initiatives.
▬ Provide mentorship, training, and resources to support seniors in launching and managing social enterprises.
▬ Promote the consumption of products and services produced by seniors within the local community and beyond.

3 Psycho-Social Support Arm

Objective: To provide spiritual, emotional, and social support to seniors, promoting their overall well-being.

Activities: 3.1. Spiritual Growth:
▬ Establish spiritual support groups or prayer circles to foster a sense of community and provide opportunities for spiritual reflection.
▬ Organize religious ceremonies, meditation sessions, or retreats tailored to the needs and preferences of seniors.
▬ Collaborate with religious institutions to ensure seniors have access to spiritual guidance and support.

3.2. Social Engagement:
▬ Create social clubs and organize regular social activities and events for seniors to combat loneliness and isolation.
▬ Facilitate intergenerational programs, where seniors can interact with younger generations and share their wisdom and experiences.
▬ Encourage participation in community events and initiatives to promote a sense of belonging and connectedness.

3.3. Emotional Support:
▬ Provide counseling services to address emotional issues, grief, and mental health concerns among seniors.
▬ Conduct support groups and peer-to-peer counseling sessions to create a supportive network for seniors facing similar challenges.
▬ Collaborate with mental health professionals to ensure access to appropriate mental health care and interventions.
